Match the asset and the network
Read the sending platform’s withdrawal network and compare it with the live order. ERC-20 refers to the Ethereum token route; TRC-20 refers to the TRON token route. The same USDT balance label can hide different network choices. Stop if the two sides do not match.
Account for the cost of sending
A self-custody Ethereum wallet needs ETH to pay gas when sending ERC-20 tokens. A hosted exchange may instead deduct its own withdrawal charge. That cost can be separate from the swap quote, so compare the total sending cost and the amount that will reach the order.
The receiving coin has its own network
For USDT → BTC, prepare a Bitcoin receiving wallet. For USDT → XMR, prepare a Monero receiving wallet. The USDT sending network does not become the destination network; a cross-chain swap changes the asset you receive.
